Iranian actor Pouriya Poursorkh is set to act in comedy theatre show ‘Alfred’ directed by Hadi Amel in Tehran’s Iranshahr Hall.
‘Alfred’ is a comedy play written by French playwright Pascal Nowicki about a young man named Gideon who lives a miserable life.
After losing his job and the love of his life, Gideon decides to commit suicide until he meets a jinn by the name of Alfred who decides to help him.
The play which is scheduled for April 8 will be on stage for one month.
Born in 1977, Poursorkh began his acting career in 2004 with the series ‘Great Escape’.
It wasn’t until 2005, when his performance in the series ‘Vafa’ brought him in to the spotlight.
The famed actor would go on to perform in many movies and series over the years, many of which were featured on ifilm.
His filmography includes ‘The Detour’, ‘The Redemption’, ‘Matador’, ‘Shokraneh’, ‘Brother’, ‘Free Fall’, ‘Kimia’, ‘Day of Envy’, ‘The Silver Man’, ‘Ungrateful’, and ‘The Third Day’.
His performance in ‘The Third Day’ earned him a nomination for the Best Leading Actor from the Fajr International Film Festival.
